WW2 Unexploded bombs

In Berlin, there are still 3,000 unexploded bombs (UXBs) buried. The city suffered extensive bombings during WW2, and since 1947, over 1.8 million explosive devices have been discovered and disposed of. The standard procedure involves securing the discovery site, evacuating residents, and then defusing the find by rendering the detonator harmless or detonating the explosive device.
